At this moment, I see on the net radar a large cold front moving on down to Southern California from Alaska.

It is raining now in the SF Bay area above Los Angeles. Snow and ice are expected to be at low levels in the Bay area mountains too, with the same pattern Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the mountain ranges directly above Los Angeles.
