Actually, it still seems to work because I've heard from several since the EyeSpy that noted that you don't have to go through Hertz reservations to get the double dip, that you can do it off line as well. It looks from other posts that it is still true, it might be, and I hope so, that you got the short end of a service person's comments. For Hertz, they would be ill advised to change this since it might be the only reason that many are still with them since their rates arte among the highest and the bonuses are among the lowest. I would advise Hertz to keep the "secret" and hope that it spreads among the junkies, the ones who really are changing car carriers at will and looking only for the best bonus. The cost would be minimal considering the loss of that business. But, Hertz does march to its own beat..... Thanks for the comment, we'll run it down again.
