I would be surprised if the IC rate for a Shophouse suite was the same as the rate for a regular room at the CP though. If the CP is that expensive that you can get a shophouse suite at the IC then I would be easily tending to the IC. Ambassador suite vs the CP suite would def make it worth the cab ride
If the cost comparison is basic room vs basic room, then the CP would win for me since a basic room at the IC would only give you a premier room or a basic room plus club access
As far as a MRT suggestion goes, if staying at the IC required taking the MRT , then there would be no second thought on a 1 night stay... stay at the CP
