) to having a certain enthusiasm for railways*... You'd be surprised at how heated arguments between different train cranks can get sometimes.
FWIW I tend to agree with the "747 is a bit ungainly" camp. And whilst I think the A380 is a fantastic engineering achievement I'm not overly keen on how it looks: imposing rather than graceful would be putting it kindly. For my money I really like the look of a 777 or A330 (would love to see one of those in BA colours), but I think the best proportioned aircraft out there is probably the 767.
*Not wholly unrelated to the new job I'll hopefully be coming back for, but that's another story altogether. And feel free to mock. I can take it
