While showing a boarding pass in itself is a "minor inconvenience", these minor inconveniences keep adding up to make travelling have more inconveniences than conveniences. And you can't help but feel in this case it is totally unnecessary since one would literally just have been checked as walking in. The guy didn't even know why he was doing it?!
