Now those two wishes have almost certainly been quashed since having looked at flight24, i see that KA never fly a plane with F and they even seem to use Xiamen airlines planes extremely often. second, now with the wing F section closed, this means that we won't be able to enjoy these famed cabanas. please don't discuss the worthiness of our desire to use the cabanas. although i have travelled extensively throughout north, central, and south america, plus 27 years living in europe, i have only been to asia once. this is a trip of a lifetime for us and we wanted to take advantage of every aspect of the trip including HKIA and its lounges.
So, to get back to the point, it now seems that our four-hour layover is excessive since we most likely won't get F to PVG or be able to enjoy the cabanas in the wing and i'm wondering how i should handle this.
- should i try to change our flight to an earlier one now or is there any chance that i could i ask them there if they can put me on an earlier flight once i get to HKG?
- i'm very disappointed that we booked F and will likely get J. i know it's a short flight but still, i was sold F. i'm not one who asks for compensation for any little mishap but i'm still wondering if i am entitled to any sort of refund in points?
i know the YVR-HKG in CX F is going to be great and i'm just bummed that two significant elements of the trip that we were really looking forward to seem to have now vanished.
what would you do in my position? wait and see or be proactive in any way?
Are there any additional KA flights that day to SHA/PVG with F?
