If you follow the link in post #8 and attempt to design your card, you will probably get to the same place I did, which is a pop-up which says :
Your SPG Member Card has been sent.
According to our records, you have already been sent an SPGŪ Member Card. Completed member cards take approximately 6–8 weeks for your card to be delivered to a North American address, and 10–12 weeks outside of North America. In the meantime, you can print or download your card from the next screen.
Due to the exciting program enhancements SPG recently announced, elite renewal kits are automatically being processed this year with your 2011 customization. SPG Lifetime™ Platinum members will be receiving a special card. If you wish to redesign at any point, please visit spg.com/requestcard and select “Design Your Card Now”.
which explains why you didn't receive any email to design your 2012 card.
