Horrible experience with Gilt (and United) on this promo.

- Signed up for the promo in Dec. under the $25 min. purchase terms
- Made a purchase 3 days later for just under $50
- Gilt claims the terms changed to $50 the day I made the purchase
- No response after a week from United MP CS

It took exchanges with 3 different Gilt reps to confirm the date they claim the terms changed.

They’ve refused to even look at the 5 miles/$1 spent component of the offer, claiming it only applies to orders $50+ transactions.

Email from Gilt:

Up to 21st December the minimum spend was established at $25 and on 21st December the minimum spend was increased to $50. Additionally, the 5 miles per $1 spent relates to any amount in excess of the minimum spend of $50.00 so regrettably you do not qualify either. We're sorry that we have no further avenue available to us to pursue this matter for you.

Their terms online?

A member can earn 5 award miles per one U.S. dollar for any transaction with Gilt Groupe in the first 6 months after registration.

Really disappointed on this one, and certainly makes me wary of anything from the Gilt group of companies in the future.
