First post to FT and still can't decipher all the lingo, but here goes:
Hubby and I want to visit his family in Scotland sometime between June 16-July 7. Least expensive fares so far are on AA.com & range between $570-$866 from 6.19-7.4.12 (coach of course). These flights are also operated by BA, so I looked at the seat layout for WT (coach, right?) and WT+ and neither looks appealing for the 10+ hour segment from SAN-LHR. Least expensive Business class is $2679/pp, BUT there is no premium class cabin for the LHR-GLA segment, so it kills me to think I would be paying for service I can't even receive!

Any advice on finding promo codes, discounts, or sales for this route would be greatly appreciated. We used to take CO SAN-EWR-GLA, but that option doesn't exist anymore and we don't have enough CO FF miles to buy even part of the trip there via United.
