Yeah, I was sort of wondering that: I don't have this plan and I find Sprint's international rates to be insanely high. (Well, probably not out of line with Verizon's or AT&T's - I imagine they're all high.)

I have a couple cheap unlocked GSM phones...I just buy local SIMs. Or find a Wifi connection and use Skype from my Sprint phone, which actually has passable sound quality as long as you have a strong WiFi signal.
