Whenever we are required to ask Passengers to fill something in, be it a survey or something else, there should be a big bundle of cheap black biro pens loaded in the stationary holdall by the catering people...
Maybe they were missing, or maybe there were not enough on this occasion.
However, I agree with posters... It amazes me that people don't carry a pen. On a flight where I only hand out maybe 4 or 5 landing cards, almost every one of those will ask me for a pen. Of which, even if I have one in my pocket, I say I don't have one. I don't get supplied them by the company and never get them back, so end up having to buy them to complete my tasks onboard. Oh well...
