Have pens gone out of fashion enough for people not to carry one?

I can see that phones, iPads and laptops may have replaced the writing implements, although I carry three pens in my handbag (one I don't mind dropping from a height, two I'd rather not drop so I only use it when I am seated) as well as multiple phones and a laptop.

P.S. @ having had an EY pen handed to you on BA. That's a bit naughty!
