Apart from not getting upgraded to a duplex suite (I should have checked first)... and the welcome drink being a juice (or very weak cocktail, I wasn't sure); I thought the Platinum experience at Vie was fairly good. I got a personalised letter welcoming me as a Platinum member, petit fours, fruit and newspaper in the room, a free dinner/ Sunday brunch voucher (which I should have used for dinner rather than cancelling the awesome Four Seasons brunch for - that is another story) and a welcome gift (rubix cube that I left behind). Although it was not my favourite Accor hotel in Bangkok, didn't have executive club, and was not as good as the Sofitel and Pullman perks, I was made to feel very welcome as a Platinum member.
