We have been on that route many times. Las Vegas has always been about 1 hour out from LAX on BA 747s to or from LHR. The pilots often mention that we're passing over or near it. After 10 hours I'd be delighted if LAX was closer to LHR on the way home. Especially when I'm hungry, hint, hint.
