BA has now come back (albeit at a glacial pace) and offered an appropriate apology, as well as a partial refund and some token compensation. I will consider the matter closed. I also will not reproduce any of the correspondence that led to this result, as it is a tedious exchange.
The only issue is now I have sampled VS' J product, with limo service, and may like it better.
oh please PM me the same. i would love to know how many threats one must make to get something adequate out of BA. personally, i would file a claim and worry about settling later since that hurts them in the pocket book more - esp. when you were in the right the whole time. sometimes i wonder the more diplomatic you are the more likely you do not get much in return.
