I'll play. I suppose I would have to say our last one, because for us it was something completely different. Indeed, our regular runs to Virginia aren't really holidays any more; it's more like a second home for a few weeks at a time.

The original planning was helped by a discussion here on FT: it certainly made us realise how variable these different places can be, and what they provide. In many respects, following up some of the suggestions in detail, it was soon clear where we didn't want to go!!

What was good about it, from our perspective, was doing nothing and going nowhere for a week We couldn't do that all the time, although we are planning a return for next January already.
