And the fact that Mestizo is one of the better ones just shows how generally bad they all are in London!
I'd like to try Cantina Laredo too but the location doesn't bode terribly well for it being great. I suspect it might be like Las Iguanas.
One thing London is doing really well in restaurant terms seems to be Spanish restaurants. There's a whole load of new places, lots of them small tapas type places. Of course they can be really expensive, compared to Spain of course, but a lot of them are very good.
