I ordered a Rimowa piece from Koffer24 a few months back. It was significantly cheaper than the UK retail price and was delivered in 3 days. Very simple. I'll definitely be using them again!
I had a significantly different experience with them. I appreciate the need for credit card security, but that is the reason I have MasterCard secure code.
I ordered three bags with a credit card from a country different than the shipping address. The transaction failed repeatedly, so I called them. The helpful staff told me that they cannot ship to a country other than the one the credit card is issued in, thus i could not place the order.
The only option was to e-mail a copy of my credit card and passport, which I did. This e-mail received no reply. I called again and was told they were checking on my order. Finally after two more e-mails (which NEVER received a reply) and two more calls, I decided to cancel the process. They never found my e-mail with credit card and passport, which is extremely disturbing.
While the staff was friendly and spoke excellent English, the process was a complete and utter shambles. They didn't know what they had in stock. One part of the company didn't have access to e-mails to another. The "manager" was gone for the weekend on Friday and they couldn't make a decision on my order until the following week. Honestly, it was one thing after another.
Yes, I could have saved a bit of cash on the bags as the price on Rimowa is significantly cheaper than in Asia. However, their lack of flexibility ruined the experience. In this day and age, credit cards are used throughout the world. People travel. I am aircrew and do not live in my home country. I've never found a problem with any other transactions on this card until I tried Koffer24.
I hope they modify their policies in the future to make their deals more accessible to people throughout the world.
