On Friday 3/9/12 as an exp, I was used BA's T5 (south) first lounge.
(1)It is about 10x the size of aa's jfk flagship lounge.
(2)the decor and ambiance are super.
(3)they have several choices of self-serve champagne, one was Taitinger, jfk has sparkling wine.
(4)lots of breakfast items (before noon), and sevreral type of sandwichs.
(5)
all the newspapers and magazines can be removed from the lounge--and the selections are 5x what any aa lounge I've fequented have.
(6)lots of nice wines
IMHO on a scale of 1-10, this lounge would rank 8.5, and any of the other fc (flagship) lounges I've visited is no more than 4.

Yep, you have come to the right thread
But on a serious note, American Airlines apart from being a hideous airline IMO shouldn't even call their lounges by that name compared to what BA offers at their "home" (or for that matter Cathay, Emirates, Singapore which I have seen first hand and from hearsay Malaysian, Qantas, Lufthansa). I have seen three AA ones and I think the US ones had a bar where you had to pay for beer!!
