Your trip may involve several changes. Neither Earl's Court or South Ken is easy as the Piccadilly line goes deep underground then and requires stairs and maybe elevators to change. Any stop before Earl's Court would be a cross-platform change. The District line uses two adjacent platforms at Earls Court and you need at Edgware Road train there. Don't take a High Street Kensington train as the terminating and continuing platforms are not adjacent.
