True, but considering that a starter pack in each country is probably the equivalent of $10 with some starter time often thrown in for good measure your own phone and a local prepaid SIM is probably the way to go. You can also get SIM cards beforehand from places such as
Telestial but you'll pay a really hefty premium to do so.
