I like your philosophy in theory, but in reality, I'd rather pay for the Gold level status and be able to save time when entering data than continue to wait while you look for a nonexistent source of the data for free or stand on some ideological principles. Just sayin'.

I don't personally like KVS's business model, and I would encourage OpenFlights not to go down that path. I'm happy to pay a reasonable amount for legitimate access, but I don't want to "donate" for to something that borders on illegitimate.
