As I see it, I can now put a small pocket in my shirt at the side and carry a thin holder for my cash, CC's and ID's and it will be detected on neither the scanner nor the WTMD, and thus away from the grubby hands of the TSO's. The only risk is the random pat down, which is a risk anyway as they go through your stuff in detail.
An internal pocket, hidden from view and accessible only by the wearer of the garment, is also much safer from pick-pockets! Great idea! Practical AND Safe.
Some company specializing in travel and adventure wear should start making garments with these sort of pockets sewn onto the inner side seams. I wish I owned or held stock in that company.
