As I see it, I can now put a small pocket in my shirt at the side and carry a thin holder for my cash, CC's and ID's and it will be detected on neither the scanner nor the WTMD, and thus away from the grubby hands of the TSO's. The only risk is the random pat down, which is a risk anyway as they go through your stuff in detail.
