The bigger question is if you are in and out of DXB twice in one day, can you tag ur bags to DXB the first time and pick them up later on that day (6 hours later) or will the bags follow you through your journey

eg I'm flying MCT-DXB-BAH-DXB with the first DXB stopover being purely transit. Now I could exit during my first stopover and pick up the bags but then where to keep them till I come back?
