Jetstar JQ v 3K
Was in Singapore and noticed that 3K (Jetstar Asia) are doing long haul flights to AKL. Hadn't realised they were in the longhaul business too.
But I also saw that there was a JQ flight to PEK (or another Chinese destination).
What determines who flies where? I would have thought that 3K would be better placed to do the Chinese flights and leave AKL to JQ?
Also, is the onboard product the same?
Seems like Jetstar as a brand is beginning to grow quite well and one of the few examples of a successful low cost carrier. Was overall quite impressed. It didn't feel cheap, which is the way I think Scoot, SQ's competitor to Jetstar is going.
