What other opportunities does AS have for longer distance flights? The could beef up Portland, OR to fly to the same cities as they do from Seattle. Or how about:

Hartford, CT
White Plains, NY
Washington Dulles
Pittsburgh
Indianapolis
San Antonio, TX
New Orleans
Delta has ~30 flights a day at MCI. Surely Delta can be contracted for ground handling.

We're going far afield of the OP's MCI announcement, but have you checked DOT Table 6 passenger count data (or equivalent) for those SEA-xxx routes you're suggesting?
