just flew home on AF on a 777 from Paris thursday nite. I was in the front row of affaires. On the 777 vs the Airbus which I flew over on the seats were different. On the airbus you have a 'pod' with the footrest in the seat in front of you. On the 777 I actually preferred it. There is a footrest that folds out so its like a Lazyboy recliner. The tv as mentioned is in the armrest. I found the service great. My only complaint was the programming on the AF flights were pretty marginal, but there were a few movies I hadn't seen but its not that extensive a choice. For a 11 hr flight it was well worth the upgrade.
