I got a new wallet when I was in Oz in December, and initially I had some issues with my Oyster card working from inside the wallet, even after I carefully placed my Chase Sapphire Preferred card (has a layer of metal in it) so it wasn't between the Oyster and reader. Noticed a couple weeks ago that it is again working through my wallet, which I don't understand but appreciate.
