I thought it would be worth mentioning this here after a personal experience in my own car last week. Was tuned into Radio Scotland medium wave for the evening sportsound programme, but I had my ipod connected to an FM device which was plugged into the power outlet, but as soon as I had tuned in to the medium wave, I was getting some serious interference which I wouldn't normally get on FM radio when listening to Ken Bruce's Popmaster, which disappeared completely when I disconnected the ipod connection kit and switched it off!

I thought that was relevant for the electronic device debate and their possible effects on radio communications on approach etc.
