PMUA was definitely charging for alcohol in TPAC Y in January 2008 (SFO-PEK), January 2009 (SFO-NRT), and July 2009 (SFO-PVG).

At the time of merger UA T pacific was free booze. Now it is not

I personally think UA should suffer financially. Flying SQ LAX-NRT instead of NH or Ua does this. Plus SQ is nicer.
