I'm no expert, but I think it's only suite nights if you are a diamond.

This is an interesting choice. The PHT obviously is the nicer hotel, but I have also enjoyed the Hyatt in Gora. The GM there did much of her training at the PHT and she is very service-oriented.

I'd say it's a close enough decision that you should pick based on which location you want to try. If you choose Gora, don't forget to get Hakone free passes (which aren't free) from Odakyu, it's the only reasonable way to tour the area.
