In defence of earendil31, yes, PMUA did charge for any kind of booze in TPAC during the timeframes that he mentions. It had been free prior to end 2008 or so, then they charged for a while, and then sometime around August or September 2009 they reversed that decision so the booze was free again. (I remember burning a number of drink chits during that period.) As another poster in this thread mentioned, some of these TPAC flights are so long, and the alternatives (ie the Asian airlines) so much more attractive, that if we have to pay for drinks, there will be many unhappy people in cattle class.

If this is true, not a change that I like.
