Best carrier for TATL in Y?
Now that UA has screwed its silver-level elites out of Economy Plus seating, I'm probably going to book my next transatlantic trip on a different carrier. Which of the following has the best Y product: Lufthansa, Brussels, TAP, Swiss, LOT, Austrian, SAS, Air Canada, US Airways, United (pre-merger United planes), or United (pre-merger Continental planes)?
I'm going from NYC to Switzerland, so only Swiss and UA (pre-merger Continental aircraft) would get me there non-stop. But all the options listed above offer fairly convenient one-stops for about the same price: is there any reason to consider them?
