Trip Report

Overall, about a B or B-.

Rooms are dated, but still pretty nice. I did not get any upgrade (as a Plat), but the standard room was pretty good size.

Also, one oddity: The web site lists a 50 meter pool: "51.19 meters/167.9 feet" . That is a full olympic-sized pool. In reality, the pool is about 40 feet; certainly not enough to swim laps, which I had been looking forward to.

But the breakfast arrangement is a reason I might not go back. There is no full-service dining room. There is a take-out counter ("Ingredients") with four very overworked employees trying to feed an entire hotel during breakfast rush. You have to run around to various "food stations" to pick up your meal, necessitating waiting in several long lines, then another line to pay. There is a "service dining room" which is just a place to sit while a runner goes and picks up your "to go" order for you at the counter. Breakfast menu is also very limited, and the food was poor quality. I would not consider up to Westin standards at all. Why pay $180 / night for that?
