I was merely reviewing the systematic destruction of the ability for UAMM to upgrade. If they systematically take away your benefits too, they way they did for the MM program, then I hope you take your own advice and don't complain about it. Personally, I support those that want to raise awareness and communicate that there are economic consequences to the actions taken.

Actually the point is YES THEY CAN. They did it to the MM. They can do it to the CO elites too. The fact is that they chose not to.

You clearly are missing the point, and instead offering worthless advice. Platinum was proposed as a means to make the PMUAMM whole. The folks here are open to alternatives. Your dismissal of Platinum as a viable alternative shows that you really couldn't give a crap about the issue at hand. And frankly, if you don't give a crap, then stay out of the discussion.

What are you going to give to get it?
1)no certs
2)50% mileage, assuming UA is willing to split the two plat groups apart
3)no spousal benefit.
How about continuing to give UA business?

No, it's not a fact of life. It is a conscious decision by UA. "It is what it is" is the most acquiescent and cowardly phrase in the English language. If you don't want to fight to get back the benefits, then get out of the way and let the others do it. Someday it might benefit you.
Give a crap eh? Haven't lost anything eh? Obviously you haven't read my posts.

If you can't respond intelligently, don't waste our time and yours.

Loyalty programs start out generous and decrease over time. It pretty much is that way it is with all of them. If this latest decrease is enough to send you over the edge then so be it. I will be here fighting for the issues important to me. Redeemable miles tops my list.

I dont think we can get everything back. You've presented no argument as to why UA should screw a bunch of current high flyers as opposed to the mm'ers who may or may not travel.

Now I didn't go to business school but I do know that a bird in the hand is worth two in a bush. Any business would do what UA did in a heartbeat. If you don't see that then you are deluding yourself.

I foresee a day when I will not be traveling anymore. Whether or not that is due to family or work or whatever. By that point my goal is to squeeze every last drop out of my time on the road.

If you are in this for the mm benefits or lifetime 1k then you are in this for the wrong reasons.

I'll make this very simple for you. If you want united or really any business to change you need to give them a business reason to do so.
