You can get the same meat, same rice pretty much at any cart now. My cart of choices has to season the meat mix it with some onions and peppers.. It's a whole different taste than the plain servings of 53'rd and 6th.
Agreed! I like the one on 49th and Broadway while my husband prefers 52nd and 8th. Once you try some of the others, 53rd and 6th will seem so bland - they hardly season their chicken and the rice lacks flavor. It needs a lot of doctoring with the red and white sauces to even be edible. My favorite was a guy on 46th and 3rd who used to have lentils in his rice, but this was 7 years ago so I have no idea if he is still there.
