I was merely reviewing the systematic destruction of the ability for UAMM to upgrade. If they systematically take away your benefits too, they way they did for the MM program, then I hope you take your own advice and don't complain about it. Personally, I support those that want to raise awareness and communicate that there are economic consequences to the actions taken.

Actually the point is YES THEY CAN. They did it to the MM. They can do it to the CO elites too. The fact is that they chose not to.

You clearly are missing the point, and instead offering worthless advice. Platinum was proposed as a means to make the PMUAMM whole. The folks here are open to alternatives. Your dismissal of Platinum as a viable alternative shows that you really couldn't give a crap about the issue at hand. And frankly, if you don't give a crap, then stay out of the discussion.

What are you going to give to get it?
1)no certs
2)50% mileage, assuming UA is willing to split the two plat groups apart
3)no spousal benefit.
How about continuing to give UA business?

No, it's not a fact of life. It is a conscious decision by UA. "It is what it is" is the most acquiescent and cowardly phrase in the English language. If you don't want to fight to get back the benefits, then get out of the way and let the others do it. Someday it might benefit you.
