I find NYP to EWR to be quite easy though, so it makes going to EWR much cheaper even than LGA. That being said, I agree the return is annoying, especially because the trains are much less frequent/non-existent in the evenings.

I usually have to suck it up and take a cab back but I live on the (lower) west side of manhattan anyway, so it doesn't take very long to get home from EWR.

In any case, I recommend trying Porter just for the sake of trying it. I like sampling different companies' product, and I think they do a good job.
