I always treat airline staff, irrespective of the circumstances, in a polite, pleasant manner, as I would anyone else. I am glad you didn't have to go through something similar. I can assure you, after talking to other people my experience was not an isolated incident.
I do not hate Air Canada or the people that make a living by working for the airline. Nor do I have an "attitude" that would motivate a negative reaction from their staff. How dare you say that what they did is my fault.
