I know you're a by-the-book type of guy (geez, even calling IM to release a seat in pax's original booking class during irr/ops so the pax doesn't get the Y COS) even though you'd probably love nothing more than to take an upgrade from a rude elite.

What say you about this situation, assuming there is some truth to the OP's story?
