AC's more competent in-flight service?! Like the SD on my NRT-YYZ flight last week with his unkempt hair and shirt and loose 'tie' (if you can call it that) and bulging belly that looked like it would burst at any moment? Yea, that's very competent...
If anything, AC is consistently inconsistent whereas I find SQ absolutely consistent, to the point of boredom and annoyance after a while.
Mrs Mapleg and I took an AC YYZ-NRT flight in J and they claimed they had "run out" of the Japanese Immigration forms (which let's face it sounds completely ridiculous) but I clearly heard the FA's handing them out in Y behind us...I raised a fuss and finally the FA reluctantly went back to Y to get a few forms and hand one to me, in essence to shut me up.
Sorry man, but I did not fly in J so I could be first off the plane to immigration and then have to stand filling in a form for 10 minutes while everyone else jumps past me.
