Just this year, I turned to be 1K & I wanted to post this just to get a feel of what FTers think. I don't think I will be complaining based on the response from this thread. Let the GA do whatever they want, I learnt my lesson, that's important for me. I will be careful hereafter.
Welcome to FT! after reading your story, I figured:
1) English was not your native tongue
2) The use of Air hostess probably puts you on the "older" side (my Mom still calls FA's Hostesses).
I have had several CS issues with UA gate agents over the years and all of them have happened in SFO. I have found that SFO management take them very seriously and will take the appropriate action. With that said, I would definitely write/call in regarding this issue.
