I can honestly say that don't judge people by the things that you mention. I am British and I think that makes a difference.

God knows what my cars say then! 2 xc90s, a vintage jeep (rust bucket) and just bought a fiat 500 as a fun car which teenagers can drive. I imagine a fiat comes well below a Honda! A car is to get you from a to b.

I don't need toys. I have friends and family. I am also female which probably makes a difference as well.

I imagine they offer it is as I have had card for 22 years. I spend consistently on personal luxury spend. One of the years I probably spent less than 50 k on it but got an invite. I use fhr and Amex travel a fair bit as well. We use a lot of their preferred partners such as 4s and rc for travel. We get gifts from Amex a fair bit.

I don't know why they offer it. In the uk you can't put utilities or taxes on Amex. I think if it's such a big issue you need to think whether a silly little credit card can buy you happiness!
