I don't disagree with your logic, I'm just saying UA can change R availability at any time such as zeroing it out or even adding more or taking away and then bringing it back later to a different number after the sweep time.

That said my understanding is that when the sweep happens And if R is available at that specific time (again the sweep time is the flight time X days before the flight) it will clear the next upgrade based in the rules set in place whether that's a CPU or RPU/mileage uprg.
