There are different 'milks' for different things.

At boarding school we used to eat condensed milk by the spoonful. It has many other applications ... but NOT in hot beverages, except possibly cocoa or chocolate. We have a tin somewhere ...
Creamer is a useful product ... with a long shelf life, and it doesn't cool the beverage. But a bit down-market.
Proper [Jersey] milk goes on cereals. Or in grown-up real cooking.
The de-milked milk is a waste of oxygen, carbon footprint and the hard work of the cows and farmers.

During The War we had to accept what was available, HIDDY.
