If you are based in the US, UA MP may be the right programme if you plan to fly a lot on UA/US domestically and to Europe in LH economy. You will find may local partners to collect miles with too. If you are planning to be in the US for a short time (2-3 years) and will travel a lot of LH across the atlantic, especially in business class, LH M&M is a better program.
