Do miles earned on UA codeshare flights count towards Million Miler balance?

I am deciding between a flight on UA from Amsterdam to SFO on a codeshare flight with a UA flight number but on LH metal. Do the miles I earn on a UA codeshare flight count towards my Million Mile status or do I need to be on UA metal?
