I hear you regarding UA's lack of admission- and it would be better if they just came out and said that they will be offering TOD updates. But looking at the bigger picture, what I'm saying is that one should be very grateful of complimentary upgrades, rather than demanding UA sacrifice revenue to offer said benefits.

If you can't understand why those of us who fly solely on UA and its partners get upset that the new UA is selling our published benefits without at least providing the same opportunity to all of its elites, I don't know why you are on here other than to troll.
Again, I understand what you are saying, and that elites should be able to pay for TOD upgrades too. What I'm also saying is that complimentary upgrades are exactly that. Complimentary. There's nothing wrong with prioritising paid (SWU, CR1, miles+copay, TOD) over said complimentary upgrades.

I get what you guys are saying regards to offering elites the same TOD upgrades to GMs, and I agree. But saying that TOD upgrades should not be offered completely until all elites have had their free/complimentary/paid-indirectly-through-loyalty upgrades? That, I do not agree with.
