Am still basking in the warmth of receiving my NW WP FFF2 bonus today and when headed back "home" to AC forum wondered why AC hasn't ever done something similiar to the best of knowledge (have only become super keen FF fanatic within the last year, which coinsides with when we got online at work).

Have they ever done something like the NW promo? I'm excluding the Star promo because that wasn't an AC-only offer.

I know if there was enough AP miles on the table to make it worth my while, I'd consider it. I'm the collector who is building my AP account so they can redeem to some exotic detination served by a Star partner and will likely never cash any miles in for AC domestic or transborder.

Is it wishing thinking or does AP feel the double mile promo's on new routes is enough?
